Training is Essential to Maintaining Food Safety

Certified food protection
manager training

Nutrition Care Systems certified instructors teach the Certified Food Protection Manager course and administer the ANSI-CFPM approved exam at your facility or most convenient location (groups of 10 or more preferred). Staff training and education is essential in running a safe and successful foodservice operation. We provide a variety of teaching methods including lecture, class discussion, audio/visual aids, written materials, practice questions and demonstrations so that everyone learns the required information. Additional assistance is available for those requesting it, including exams in multiple languages.

Understanding HACCP-based food safety principles is the basis of all training, including an understanding of how microorganisms and other hazards in a kitchen environment can affect food quality and safety. The FDA Food Code states food service establishments must have at least one Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) on premises at all times during foodservice operation. A Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certification is achieved by taking an 8-hour training course (inclusive of exam) and passing an ANSI (American National Standards Institute) approved exam.
